We strongly encourage messy play through activities inside and outside, these are a mixture of permanent activities like our Mud Kitchens, and planned themed activities which vary regularly.

Mud Kitchens

The children go outside to play at least twice a day and love to play with their friends in the Mud kitchens and absolutely love it. We are weather warriors here at The Pines and go outside in all weathers, we do ask your child/ren to be sent with appropriate clothing and footwear, please do not send your children in thier best clothes, as we encourage our children to fully explore their environment ! Our mud kitchens help with, to name a few:

- Social develpment

- Imagination

- Creativity

- Fine and Gross motor skills

- Sensory development

Other forms of Messy Play

We have a creative room in each unit, and strongly encourage messy play in the creative rooms doing activities both inside and outside. Again, we have full body aprons to protect clothes as much as possible (however please don't send your children in their best clothes). Alongside getting creative and messy with paint, glue and glitter we emjoy other Messy Play activities, such as:

- Water Trays

- Playing with Jelly

- Playing with Shaving Foam

- Painting on Foil

- Playing with sand and moon sand

- Making and playing with Gloop

What our parents say...

" Well where can I start, my Daughter has loved going to The Pines everyday since starting there over 2 years ago now. Choosing The Pines as our childcare provider was an easy decision as I had heard great things about their care and I knew I wanted her to attend The Pines. They have supported her in every milestone that she went through, especially with her eyesight, her squint diagnosis and her speach she has progressed so much with their continued support. She is the child she is today because of the ladies who work there." - Please see Facebook for many more.
